Lyon Aerial was founded by Wells Lyon, a Dallas-based drone photographer and FAA-certified Remote Pilot with a background that's a little different from most aerial photography vendors in the area.

Wells holds a Mechanical Engineering degree and spent two years in construction project management — experience that shows up in how every shoot is planned and delivered. Camera angles, flight paths, and turnaround times aren't guesswork; they're approached the way a PM approaches a job site: efficiently, on schedule, with clear deliverables.

That same precision extends to golf. Wells brings genuine, on-course golf knowledge to every course shoot — understanding sightlines, hole strategy, and what actually makes a course look and play great from the air, not just what looks good in a still frame. It's the difference between a generic aerial contractor and someone who understands the sport being marketed.

Every flight is conducted under FAA Part 107 certification, using a DJI Mini 5 Pro capable of 4K video and RAW stills.
